JAKARTA, 2 July (BelTA) - There is enough work for Belarusians in Indonesia, and there is a readiness to seriously develop cooperation, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said during talks with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto in Jakarta on 2 July, BelTA has learned.
“During the preparations for this visit, and being in Indonesia for the second time during my presidential service, I made sure that there is enough work for Belarusians in Indonesia, and we are committed to working seriously to help you to achieve the goals that you have set before your people and vast country,” the president emphasized.
Aleksandr Lukashenko recalled that the day before, the talks had been held at the level of government members of the two countries, and certain agreements had already been reached. “Our ministers and government members from the Indonesia and Belarus met yesterday and discussed the main issues and the main areas of our work - Belarus in Indonesia and Indonesia in Belarus. I believe they have already agreed on many things," the head of state noted.
“Therefore, we need to formalize these agreements and act without delays or bureaucracy. Only forward,” the Belarusian leader stated.
The president noted that the day before, he had also had a good conversation with Prabowo Subianto, which will serve as a foundation for further steps to improve and develop Belarusian-Indonesian relations.
On behalf of the entire Belarusian delegation, Aleksandr Lukashenko thanked the Indonesia president for the friendly reception extended to the Belarusian side.
